OAKES, GRANT E., JR. Of Cedarburg. Found eternal rest on November 16, 2003. Age 86 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Lucille nee Tenant Oakes. Dear father of Anne Timmel, Nancy Briggs, William Linda Oakes, Cathy John Woodbury and Mary Oakes. Loving grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorial service Saturday, November 29, 2003, 1:00 PM at Wisconsin Memorial Park – Family Center, Brookfield. The family will receive friends from 11AM-1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to The American Heart Association appreciated. Grant was a former member of 56 yrs. at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Milwaukee and a member of Crossroads Presbyterian Church, Mequon. Charter member of the National Model Railroad Assoc. He was a member of the American Legion Cudworth Post No. 23, Milwaukee. Special thanks to Dr. Budney and his staff at Cedar Mills Medical Group for their supportive care.
