Gordon "Gordy" E. Bast

Gordon E. “Gordy” Bast 76, of Cedarburg died peacefully on May 22, 2015 surrounded by his family at Columbia St. Mary’s Ozaukee Campus in Mequon. Gordy was born in Rockfield, WI on August 5, 1938 the son of the late Seno J. and Evelyn M. (nee Harlander) Bast. Gordy was united in marriage on June 21, 1969 in Milwaukee, WI to Judith (nee Neujahr). Gordy worked as a forklift operator for Mercury Marine. Gordy was a member of the Cedarburg Fire Department, WI Antique Power Reunion, Germantown Historical Society and a longtime member of First Immanuel Lutheran Church. Gordy’s favorite hobbies were woodworking, The Green Bay Packers and working at the Ozaukee Co. Fair. Gordy is survived by his wife Judy; daughters: Renee and Peggy; sisters Marlene (the late Al) Mallon and Evelyn (Jack) Slais; sister-in-law Lila Bast; nieces & nephew: Debby (Mike) Coffey, Dawn (Steve) Watts, Ed (Laura) Bast, Chris (Paul) Pannier, Shelly (Brian) Coerper, Tammy Ritzman, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. Gordy was preceded in death by infant daughter Margaret and his brother Seno. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 – 6:00 PM at First Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cedarburg. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 4:00 PM – 5:45 PM. Interment will be in Immanuel Cemetery. Memorials to First Immanuel Lutheran Church or the Germantown Historical Society appreciated.
