He spent his childhood helping with planting and selling and other farm chores. He attended grade school at St Johns Lutheran School in Milwaukee and was confirmed there. He went on to Boys Tech for high school. Glenn attended MATC studying to be a machinist. He started at Kearny & Trecker in West Allis in 1951 as a machinist apprentice. In 1955 he was drafted into the Army as a mechanic. He served in Battery C, 231st Armored Field Artillery Battalion, 6th Armored Division. He served in the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged in 1957. In 1960, Glenn moved to Cedarburg, married and raised his family. He was an active member of First Immanuel Lutheran Church for many years including participating in the Mens Club. In the early 1970's, Glenn bought a lot on a lake near Crivitz, WI. He loved spending time there up until the end... camping, fishing, cooking on the campfire, and he spent quality time with his girls and later with Camille and his grandchildren. They all have very fond memories. He was known for taking pictures and putting together albums and DVD's that recorded his life. He was known to us all as the family genealogist, keeping everything up to date and was still in contact with distant relatives he had found. He had a great sense of humor and was loved by many. Glenn was a wonderful Christian man. A loving husband to Camille. A caring father. A special grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be missed.
