Glenn E. Hoffmann Born to Eternal Life on January 13, 2020 at the age of 81 at his home in Newburg. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 6:00 PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, W61 N498 Washington Ave., Cedarburg. A visitation will take place prior to the funeral service on Friday at the church from 3:00 PM until 5:45 PM. Pastor Vicki Simon will be officiating the service. Burial to take place on Saturday at Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg. Memorials will be decided between a couple of Glenn’s favorite charity’s, so please make any donations out to the family. Glenn was born on August 10, 1938 in Milwaukee, WI and grew up in Cedarburg (Hamilton) where he lived most of his life until later moving to Newburg. He graduated from Cedarburg High School, class of 1956. Glenn married the love of his life, Carol (nee Zimdars). Their marriage was blessed with 5 children that he loved with his whole heart. Glenn followed his father’s footsteps going into the sheet metal business (HVAC). He worked in the trades for many years before opening his own business Orly Co. here in Cedarburg. In 1978 Glenn & Carol embarked on a new adventure buying Sunny Cove Resort in Manitowish Waters which they own to this day. Many happy, hard working hours were shared at the resort. Lots of lasting memories made through shenanigans and pontooning. Glenn loved antique tractors and many hobbies. He enjoyed being a woodworking leader for 4-H and always got involved in the activities his children took part in. He loved to socialize and entertain. He was a story teller and loved to share stories of the past. Glenn always had a dream to aim for. He enjoyed improving everything he touched, and was immaculate on the projects he worked on. He loved his country and had strong beliefs and values. Among his hobbies and interests Glenn loved and enjoyed spending time with his family above all. Glenn is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 61 years, Carol (nee Zimdars) Hoffmann. Dear father to Lana (Todd) Heinzel, Lyle (Linda) Hoffmann, Larry (Lisa) Hoffmann, Lynn (Larry) Neumann, and Lori (Dale) Thiessenhusen. Adored grandfather to Megan, Alex, Jennifer, Brandon, Rebecca, Brian, Mackenzie, Adam and Abigail. Great-grandfather to Jameson, Macie, Collin, Tatum and Colton. He will be dearly missed by all. Glenn is preceded in death by his parents Lambert and Mildred (nee Pollnow) Hoffmann, brother, Lambert Hoffman and sisters, Joan Lewin and Carol Kringel.
