Gerold "Jerry" O. Scherbert

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at 4:00pm at Faith Lutheran Church N35W6621 Wilson Avenue, Cedarburg for Gerold O. Scherbert “Jerry” who was Born to Eternal Life on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at the age of 82 years. Visitation will be held at church on Sunday from 2:00pm to 3:45pm. Interment Zur Ruhe Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Faith Lutheran Church or Camp American Legion appreciated. Gerold was born in Milwaukee, WI on December 3, 1933, the son of the late Gilbert and Viola (nee Fritz) Scherbert. Gerald was united in marriage to Lois (nee Zeunert) on September 11, 1954 at Advent Lutheran Church. Gerold was a member of the Cedarburg American Legion Peter Wollner Post 288. He enjoyed everything and anything to do with cars, motorcycles, engines of all sorts, photography, dancing, camping, fishing, gardening and most of all his family. Gerold is survived by his children: Jeanne Scheidt, Sandra Ashenden, Amy (Mark) Blau and Scott Lederer, grandchildren; Matthew (Dui) White, Wanita (James) Bach, Abby (Samuel) Park, Andy Ashenden, Nick (Kristy) Ashenden, Sean Kinnunen, Stephan Kinnunen, Jacob Lederer and Lauren Lederer, Ryan Blau and Rebecca Blau, great-grandchildren, Savannah White, Tyler White and Mason Bach, brother Robert (Barbara) Scherbert, sisters; Beverly Ruediger and Barbara (Allen) Masiarchin. Gerold was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lois Scherbert, dear daughter Rebecca Lederer and a brother Ronald Scherbert. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
