Geraldine E. Fifer Nee Bach

Geraldine E. Fifer (nee Bach), of Cedarburg WI and formerly of Wheaton IL, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 22, 2010, at age 90. Private services will be held. Geraldine was born in Chicago IL on February 14, 1920, one of twin daughters of Robert August and Orel Lucinda (nee Fulton) Bach. The family moved to Glen Ellyn IL when the twins were 12. Geraldine married Albert C. Fifer in Chicago on October 19, 1941, and she continued to live in Illinois until his death in 1999. Geraldine worked part time at the Glen Ellyn IL library and also at Threadneedle Square where she did a lot of sewing. She was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Glen Ellyn. Geraldine enjoyed flower gardening, sewing, reading fiction novels and traveling especially to Europe, going several times to England where her twin sister resided. Geraldine is survived by her children Jill (Kenton) Toomey of Round Rock TX and Susan (David) Kelly of Cedarburg WI; grandchildren Ryan (Norma) Toomey of Tampa FL, Brandon (Trish) Toomey of Mahtomedi MN, Michelle Kelly of Milwaukee WI and Elizabeth Kelly of Milwaukee WI; great-grandson Markus Toomey of Tampa Fl; other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Albert, and her twin sister Oreline B. (Hilary) Page. Special thanks to all the physicians and caregivers at Lasata Care Center, Columbia St. Marys Ozaukee and Horizon Hospice. Cemetery: Elmlawn Cemetery - Elmbrook IL
