Georgia Lee Jung was born into eternal life on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at the age of 86 at Lincoln Village Senior Living Campus in Port Washington. She had the company of her children and close family during her final hours.
Georgia was born and raised in Milwaukee on June 18, 1938, to Estelle (nee DeRushe) and Andrew Winter. She was a proud graduate of Messmer High School, class of 1956. Georgia married Robert Jung, whom she met in kindergarten, on October 1, 1960. After moving to Cedarburg in 1975, Georgia worked as a librarian for many years at the Cedarburg Public Library.
Georgia is survived by her children, Gregory (Jennifer), Patrick (Rochelle), Kristin (Tony) Roy, and Andrew (Courtney); grandchildren, Matthew and Corey Jung, Katherine, Aloysius and Francis Jung, Kyle and Maxwell Roy, Hannah, Charlotte and Mary Jung; great grandchildren, Xavier and Zurie Roy; and brother in-law, Thomas (Paula) Jung. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, parents, sister Janet (Don) Hoffmeister, and in-laws Ollie and Vivian Jung.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1619 Washington St. Grafton, WI. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 AM till 10:45 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to School Sisters of Notre Dame or St. Joseph Parish are appreciated.
