Funeral services were held for George C. Schmidt, 90, of Cedarburg, on Tuesday, September 20, 2005 – 2:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Cedarburg. Visitation was at the church on Tuesday from 12 Noon until time of service at 2:00 PM. Interment was at Zur Ruhe Cemetery. George passed away peacefully on September 15, 2005 at Willow Crest Nursing Home in South Milwaukee, WI. George married Carolyn nee Spuhl on December 10, 1938 in Milwaukee, WI. George worked on the family farm for many years before moving on to be a machinist for Kiekhaefer Marine. George is survived by his wife Carolyn; Son David Carol Schmidt; Grandchildren: Daniel, Andrea, Kelly and Corey; Sister Loretta Czisny, Brother Gilbert Schmidt; sister-in-law Barbara Spuhl; loving and caring nieces Theresa Seifert and Elaine Schieble; nephew Walter Marie Spuhl; many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. George was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Elmer and Edward and 2 sisters: Rose and Evelyn.
