For online condolences, please visit www.muellerfuneralhome.com Gary was born on May 31, 1934 in Milwaukee, WI. He graduated South Division High School in 1952. Gary continued his education at the WI Teacher’s College and proudly served his country in the US Army. Gary was married 53 years to his lovely bride Barbara. He was the proud father of 3 daughters, 4 grandchildren and very grateful for his 3 sons in law. Gary had a successful career in the mortgage/finance industry that spanned over 30 years. He began at Mortgage Associates, retiring as a Vice President with Fleet Mortgage in 1986. In retirement, he enjoyed traveling the US with Barb, enjoying countless rounds of golf, and of course visiting the 19th hole. He also served his community with his involvement in The Grafton Lion’s Club, the Rose-Harms American Legion Post and St. Joseph’s Parish. As a father and grandfather, Gary was a great source of wisdom, guidance, strength and always led by example. He set the foundation for his family by passing on his sense of tradition, importance of family, and love of WI sports. Gary was blessed to have many friends who knew him to be a true and loyal friend, quick witted, and always ready to tell a great story. Gary will be greatly missed by the love of his life, whom he loved unconditionally. Together they lived a full, happy life, enjoying every moment with their friends and family. A special thank you to Horizon Homecare and Hospice and Lawlis Family Hospice for all of their wonderful care and compassion. Gary is survived by his loving wife Barbara, daughters Julie (Kevin) Smith, Lori (Hussien) Talb, and Amy (Eric) Wilke. Proud grandfather of Matthew, Meghan (Cody), Grace, and Sophia. Dear brother of Dennis (Joan) Germundsen. Further survived by many other loving family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Margaret, and siblings John Germundsen (Judy) and Judy Connolly (Bob).
