Frieda Witte

Frieda (nee Schenkel) Witte of the Town of Grafton passed away peacefully at home on Thursday July 22, 2010 at the age of 76 years. Frieda was born in Thallichtenberg, Germany on March 16, 1934 to the late Wihlen & Karolina (nee Lorence) Schenkel and married Earl Witte on July 26, 1975 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton. Frieda was an avid gardener, had a green thumb, loved her flower beds and was proud of her strawberrie and raspberries. She would often proudly display a vase of freshly cut flowers. If her flowers had faces, they would have been smiling. If anyonce had a sick plant, Freida would nurse it back to life, often growing so large, that it looked more like a tree. Between her and Earl, it was flower, berry and veggie heaven. Frieda is survived by her husband Earl of the Town of Grafton, children; Gary (Karen) James of MN, Glen (Cindy) James of Oconomowoc, Jean ONeill of TX, Joan (Mark) Cavender of TX, Greg James of MS, Lynn (Pat) Green of TX and Don Witte of West Bend. She is further survived by 18 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, 2 brothers, other relatives and friends. Funeral services are Saturday July 24, 2010 at First Immanuel Lutheran Church W67 N622 Evergreen Blvd. Cedarburg. Interment Zur Ruhe Cemetery. Instate at the church Sat. 10 AM until time of service. Memorials to the church appreciated.
