Fredric L Bertling

Fredric L. Bertling, of Grafton, went to his heavenly home on January 9, 2015 at the age of 65. Fredric was born in Kenosha, WI on August 2, 1949 the son of Ronald and Audrey (nee Schaumberg) Bertling. Fredric was united in marriage to Peggy (Nee Willkom) on October 5, 1985 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grafton. Fredric graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor’s degree. While earning his degree at Madison, Fredric played on the UW Baseball Team. Fredric enjoyed playing baseball, golfing, bowling, coaching youth sports, was a swimming instructor in Grafton, played for the Land O Lakes Softball League and the Senior Softball League in Grafton and was an extreme UW Badger Fan. Fredric was employed at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church as the Parish Accountant. Fredric is survived by his wife Peggy Bertling; Son Thomas Bertling; Parents Ronald (Audrey) Bertling; siblings: Bruce (Karla) Bertling and Beverly Hemley; father-in-law and mother-in-law Nilus and Bernadette Willkom; sister-in-law Patty (Jim) Loppnow; brother-in-law Jim (Fiancée Amy) Willkom; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his brother David. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 – 6:00 PM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grafton. Fr. Michael Barrett will be officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 3:00 PM – 5:45 PM. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials of your choice appreciated.
