Fred J. Hill

Funeral Services will be held Friday February 19, 2010 at 10:30am at Lasata Care Center (W76N677 Wauwatosa Rd., Cedarburg) for Fred J. Hill who died Monday February 15, 2010 surrounded by his family at the age of 98 years. Visitation will be held at Lasata Chapel on Friday from 9:30am until the time of Service. Entombment Wisconsin Memorial Park. Fred was born in Franklin, WI on October 23, 1911 to the late Walter and Cecilia Hill. He was united in marriage to Kathryn (nee Schielke) on January 26, 1974 at Christ King Church in Wauwatosa, WI. Fred was an all around athlete and loved to compete. He enjoyed all sports including golf, tennis, bowling, soft ball and fishing. Fred enjoyed dancing including square dancing, line dancing, round dancing and ball room dancing. Fred and Kathryn traveled to Mexico, Switzerland, Maraco, Hawaii and many more places. Traveling was a passion for the both of them. Even though Fred was a wonderful person he will be remembered as a gentle man. Fred is survived by his wife Kathryn, step-children; Marilyn (John) Sorenson, Jim (Judy Treskow) Carney and Jerry Carney, grandchildren; Alan (Tammy) Leszczynski, Julie (Jim) Ruhnke and Deana (Bryan) Mentzel. Further survived by 5 great-grandchildren, 2 nieces; Debra (David) Pluger and Susan (Richard) Van Dem Aaker, nephew; Donald (Sue) Hill and friends.
