Franklin W. Krueger On December 28, 2017 Franklin Krueger of Cedarburg, age 87, entered his eternal home in heaven. We rejoice as Franklin is reunited with his beloved wife Sylvia (Nee Graese) to live in eternal glory with his savior Jesus Christ. Franklin lived an honorable life serving his Lord, this country, his community, and family. He grew up in Cedarburg, WI helping his parents on their family farm. After graduating from high school, Franklin attended Wartburg College and Seminary in Waverly, IA. In the summers when he was home from his studies, he worked as a carpenter. After being ordained, Franklin became a Chaplain in the United States Air Force. For 20 years Franklin ministered to thousands of servicemen and women and their families, living with his family around the world. He retired from the military, moved back to Cedarburg, and continued his ministry as a supply pastor, and Chaplain at St. Luke’s Hospital. Never one to stay idle, Franklin enjoyed a second career as a postman for the town of Cedarburg, and loved to connect with the residents on his route. Franklin was a very talented carpenter and scroll-saw artesian. In his retirement he worked to create many unique and beautifully crafted woodwork pieces. Franklin is the loving father of Mark Krueger, Renee Krueger, Lenore (Mike) Cira and Miriam (Robert) Rusch and former daughter-in-law Sue Burkett Krueger.
