Fay F. Janssen, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, known for her unwavering faith and love for her family, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 26, 1933, in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, she graced this world with her joyful spirit, which endeared her to everyone who knew her.

Fay's steadfast Catholic faith was paramount her entire life. Her commitment to God and her family was carried out through her belief in the power of prayer. Praying the Rosary and the Divine Mercy chaplet, as well as sharing her faith in various ways, brought light and hope to those around her. Her personality radiated warmth, kindness, consideration, and love, making her a source of support and inspiration for family and friends alike.

She graduated from Silver Lake College in Manitowoc,Wisconsin, earning a Bachelor’s degree that set the foundation for her lifelong journey of learning and helping others. Her many health and human service oriented positions impacted the lives of countless individuals.

Fay’s family was her pride and joy. She is survived by her children, Marjean (Mark) Westphal, Shawn (Deborah) Cotey, Renee (Jerry) Guinan, and Michelle (Chester) Czerwonka. Her legacy further lives on through her grandchildren: Marshal Westphal, Cody Westphal, Dustin Westphal, Brian (Eileen) Viggiano, Branda Reed, Nathan (Anna) Castner, Ben (Sara) Castner, Chelsey Czerwonka, and her great-grandchildren: Noa Mary, Mason, Jackson, Charlie, Henry, Grace, Ethan, Shawn, and Sarah. Fay is also mourned by her sister,Darlene Mannarino, niece Gina Kratcha, nephew Jason Mannarino, and sister-in-law Louise LeCoque. Additionally, she leaves behind step-children, step-grandchildren, other relatives, and many friends who cherish her memory.

Fay was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Janssen, and her former spouse Roger Cotey, along with Don (Ruth) LeCoque, Shirley (Lloyd) Aumann, and Erv LeCoque, who hold a special place in her heart.

A visitation will be held on March 25, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 PM, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church-North, 1375 Covered Bridge Road, Cedarburg, WI. Entombment will take place on March 26, 2025 at 10:30AM at Calvary Cemetery & Chapel, Manitowoc, WI.

Fay F. Janssen will be remembered as a faithful, loving, and family-oriented woman who touched the lives of many. Her spirit made a lasting impression on her family and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
