Eugene W. Ebel Obituary 3/10/1929 - 6/2/2022 Eugene Walter “Gene” Ebel, 93, passed away on June 2, 2022. Gene was born in Milwaukee, WI, in 1929 to Elmer and Verna (nee Gilomen) Ebel. He studied at UW-Milwaukee and Madison, and spent most of his career in the insurance industry. Gene married Greta Pettersen on August 16, 1952. They lived in Milwaukee and Stevens Point, then in 1963 became homeowners in Brookfield’s newest subdivision, Imperial Estates, where they lived for nearly 60 years.Gene and Greta traveled extensively in the U.S. and internationally. Gene also enjoyed sheepshead, golf, and reading. He is survived by Greta, his children Susan Ebel, Lisa (Patrick) Mulcahy, and Bruce (Carol) Ebel; his grandchildren Luke (Frances) Mulcahy, Zachary (Anna) Mulcahy, Megan (Marshall) Ambros, and Connor (Adriane) Mulcahy; as well as his great-grandchildren Asher, Ingrid, and Gordon Ambros.
