Eugene M. Elflein

Eugene Michael Elflein, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. He was born on June 7, 1946 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to John and Arlene (Liepzig) Elflein. Eugene attended Cedarburg High School and then was drafted into the US Army where he completed two years of service stationed overseas in Okinawa, Japan. After leaving the Army, he returned home to study at MSOE and then worked in maintenance at the Continental Can Company. He married Judith Fuchs on May 16, 1970. Together they had 9 children, 5 sons and 4 daughters. Eugene loved riding his motorcycle and was an active member of the American Legion Riders Wisconsin, district #2. He is survived by his brother Gregory (Jane) Elflein; his children, Christopher (Holly) Elflein, Melissa Elflein, Joshua (Lark) Elflein, Andrew (Erin) Elflein, Sara Elflein, Nicolas Elflein, Brian (Sarah) Elflein, Courtney (Gary) Gawryleski, and Megan Elflein; and his many grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Portview Church, 3457 County Rd LL, Port Washington, WI 53074. The family will greet friends at church starting at 12:00 pm until time of service at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org).
