Eugene Henry Juergens

Eugene H. Juergens, of Grafton, WI Born to Eternal Life June 28, 2004 , age 81. Beloved husband for 55 years of Bernice B. nee Fuhrmann. Loving father of Diane Ray Fuerstenberg of Grafton, Gail Keith Wendt of Jackson, and Donald Val Juergens of Sheboygan. Dear Grandpa of Jennifer Justin Newkirk, Ray Vicki Fuerstenberg, Sean Heidi Fuerstenberg, Mark Jensen, David Stacy Wendt, Meghan Duncan Olson, William Schultz, Michael Wendt, Sarah Schultz, and Tonia Mando Cruz. Dear great-grandpa of Payton, Julian, Kristen, Brynn, Ryan, and Austin. Dear Uncle of Joyce Bill Beglinger and Gene Sue Juergens. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents Arthur and Emma Juergens, brother Donald Elizabeth, sister Eileen Marvin Kroening, and niece Donna Kroening. He served in WWII in the 82nd Airborne Division in Sicily, Italy, France, and Germany; had two airborne missions: Normandy & Holland; was called into the Battle of the Bulge on Christmas Eve 1944; and received the Bronze Star Medal in Normandy. He was often invited to share his WWII recollections with area schools and veteran’s organizations. He was an entrepreneur, and owner of Praefke Auto Electric-Milwaukee, Juergens Office Supply-Thiensville, and Technovation, Inc. Eugene was devoted to God and family, and most recently served as Visitation Minister with Pastor Mark Wagner for Our Savior Ev. Lutheran Church. Dad will be greatly missed for his loving heart and helpful hand. Dad delighted in helping others with his wonderful inventions. Funeral Service: Friday, July 2, at 11 a.m. at OUR SAVIOR EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, Grafton. In state Thursday July 1, 2004, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at MUELLER FUNERAL HOME-GRAFTON and Fri., July 2, from 10 a.m. until time of Service at the Church. Interment Zur Ruhe Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Fund has been established in his name.
