Elmer C. Veloon

Elmer C. Veloon Elmer Christ Veloon, age 96, of Grafton, passed away February 6, 2018 at Ramsey Woods Residence in Cudahy. He was born on April 9, 1921 in Milwaukee, to Christ and Laura (nee Syperko) Veloon. He was baptized at Grace Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, and confirmed on April 14, 1935 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Port Washington. On October 23, 1948, he was united in marriage to Dorothy E. Eberhardt at First Immanuel Lutheran Church, in Cedarburg. Elmer was a lifelong resident of Grafton and a member at St. Paul Lutheran Church. He retired from Delco Electronics in Oak Creek after 33 years of service. Loving father of Joanne Micoley, Judith (Steve) Gleisner, and the late James Veloon. Proud grandfather of Melissa (Jason), Jennifer (Michael), David (Angela), Kathryn (Garett), and Andrew. Beloved great-grandfather of Christian and Nathan. Father-in-law of Marlene Walters. Further survived by brother, Melvin Veloon and sister, Gloria Schwengel. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy, siblings, Robert Veloon and Donald Veloon; sisters-in-law, Elnora Veloon, Delores Veloon, Leona (Milton) Thierfelder, and Marilyn (Richard) Hahlbeck, and brothers-in-law, Armin Schwengel, Milton Eberhardt (Marie) and Elroy (Gertrude) Eberhardt. The family would like to especially thank the staff at Ramsey Woods and Asera Care Hospice for their loving care. A Funeral Service will be held at the Mueller Funeral Home (W63 N527 Hanover Ave.), in Cedarburg, on Sunday, February 11, 2018, 2:00PM. The Rev. Luke Anderson will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1:00PM until the time of service at 2:00PM. Elmer will be laid to rest at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, in Grafton, on Monday, February 12, 2018. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church, in Grafton are appreciated. We will deeply miss Elmer’s kind smile and gentle nature. He will live forever in our hearts.
