Elmer A. Kowalske, of the town of Jackson, passed away on May 30, 2019, at the Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital, in Wauwatosa, at the age of 87 years. Elmer was born on the family farm, on December 6, 1931, the son of the late Theodore Kowalske and the late Hedwig (nee Groth) Kowalske. He was later united in marriage to Diane, on June 8, 1957, at the Lutheran Church of Reformation, in Milwaukee. Together, their marriage was blessed with four children, David, Doris, Paul, and Glen. Elmer was a lifelong active member at David’s Star Ev. Lutheran Church, in Jackson, Wisconsin,where he was baptized and confirmed in his faith. Elmer was a lifelong dairy farmer, working on his family’s homestead raising cattle and working the land. In 2018, Elmer and his family received accolades from the Wisconsin State Fair, for maintaining the family farm for over 100 years. When Elmer was not caring for the cattle or his family, he and his wife Diane, could be found with the Kettle Moraine Squares, which was an active square-dancing group. He was also a member of the Wauzaukee Dartball League since 1945, and was an avid deer hunter. Elmer is survived by his beloved wife, Diane Kowalske, children: Doris (Joe) Beine, Paul (Angie) Kowalske, and Glen Kowalske; grandchildren, Kari, Kelli, and Kristi Beine, and sister, Dorothy Zarling. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, David Kowalske, and brother, Eldor Kowalske. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, 6:00 PM at David’s Star Ev. Lutheran Church. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, at the church, from 4:00 PM until the time of service. Elmer will be laid to rest the following day, at David’s Star Ev. Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated.
