Elizabeth "Lizzy" Larson

Lizzy Larson Lizzy Larson, 56, of Cedarburg, WI passed away in her home on July 9th, 2020 after a battle with cancer. She was born on February 28th, 1964 in Oak Park, Illinois where she grew up and graduated from Oak Park Riverforest High School in 1982. She continued her education studying addictions counseling and later graduated from Lakeside Massage School. Following her graduation, Lizzy pursued a career in Massage Therapy, which she successfully practiced for over 20 years. Through massage, she met her partner, Christine Daikawa, with whom she had a daughter, Malika, now a senior in high school. Lizzy spent her time with those she loved gardening, biking, writing, volunteering, reading, watching the PBS NewsHour, and simply enjoying her time on earth. Everything she did, she did with infectious enthusiasm and passion. She was known by her friends and family for her zeal and exceptional love of life and the people she surrounded herself with. She appreciated all of the beautiful little things, such as waking up to singing birds and listening to the Cedar Creek flow from her front porch. Lizzy lived her life by the Ann Patchet quote “the question is whether or not you choose to disturb the world around you or let it go on as if you had never arrived”. Everyone who knew Lizzy was touched by her generosity and gusto and certainly changed for the better. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life gathering on Saturday, July 10th, 2021 anytime between 11 am-3 pm at Grafton’s Veterans Memorial Park located on 13th Ave, Grafton, WI 53034. See Christine’s Facebook page for future updates and details or email cdaikawa72@gmail.com for any questions you may have. The family requests that donations be made to Malika’s college fund.
