Elizabeth Carthaus Burbank of Cedarburg passed away peacefully April 8th at the age of 90. She is survived by her loving family including her husband John, daughters Anne (Steven) Tews of Mequon, Wisconsin, and Nancy Burbank of Eugene, Oregon. Dear grandmother of Jennifer, Sarah and Peter. Proud great grandmother of Ben, Zoe and Ryan. Betty was a graduate of Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York. She worked as a lab technician for many years of her life. She was an avid bridge player, enjoyed reading and cooking, and was a member of the Cedarburg Womans Club. She loved animals and was especially fond of dogs. Her family is so blessed to have had her in their lives. Betty cherished her time with friends and family. The support and encouragement of her wonderful friends and family meant so much to her. She was a uniquely kind and generous person. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Advent Lutheran Church, the Cedarburg Library or the Ozaukee Humane Society appreciated. Bettys many friends are invited to celebrate and honor her life on Sunday, April 13th at 2:00 pm at Advent Lutheran Church in Cedarburg. The family will welcome friends and share memories at a church reception following the service. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials to Advent Lutheran Church, the Cedarburg Library or the Ozaukee Humane Society appreciated.
