Elizabeth Barbara Smith

Of Grafton, was welcomed to God’s loving arms on December 7, 2011, age 58 years. Beloved and dedicated wife of Duane Smith. Loving mother of Natalia, Brett, and Alexandra Smith. Adored sister and friend of Paulina and Lucyna. Cherished daughter-in-law of B. Marie Smith. Further survived by sisters-in-law, nephews, one niece, other relatives and many close friends. Preceded in death by her parents and one sister in Poland. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, December 12, 2011 1:30PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church (1619 Washington St.), Grafton. Interment St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery, Niles, Illinois. In state Sunday, December 11, 2011, 2-5PM at the Mueller Funeral Home in Grafton. A visitation will also take place on Monday, December 12, 2011, at the church, from 12 Noon until 1:30PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund 14 Pennsylvania Plaza, Suite 1710 New York, NY 10122 appreciated. Elizabeth was born and raised in Poland, and came to the United States in 1981, where she was able to enjoy the opportunities that America could offer in her profession of commercial art.
