Edwin W. Dollert 'Eddie'

Edwin “Eddie' W. Dollert Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 3, 2011 at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ (166 Dekora Rd., Saukville) at 2:00pm for Edwin “Eddie” W. Dollert of Saukville, he died on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at his residence at the age of 89 years. Visitation will be held at church on Saturday from 11:00am until the time of Service. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Saukville. Memorials to the church or American Heart Association appreciated. Eddie was born in Saukville, Wisconsin on June 2, 1922, the son of the late Edwin O. and Esther (nee Zuelsdorf) Dollert. He was 1 of 4 children and also a twin of a brother who died in infancy. Edwin was united in marriage to LaVerne (nee Dickmann) 58 years ago and they were blessed with 6 children. Eddie was a dairy farmer but enjoyed many other things in life. He enjoyed Polka dancing, driving his tractors, playing cards, especially sheepshead and also liked watching our Milwaukee Brewers and he was excited to hear that the Milwaukee Bucks will start playing basketball again. Wheel of Fortune was 1 of his favorite television shows. After retirement, Eddie loved traveling throughout the US on bustours and traveled to Hawaii and Europe with LaVerne. Edwin “Eddie” is survived his wife of 58 years, LaVerne, children; Kristine (Steve) Schmit, Darrell (Cheryl), Diane (Bernie) Heimerl, Daniel “Jigger”, Bonnie (Dan Musbach) Dollert and David Dollert, grandchildren; Brittnee and Kyle Heimerl, 2 step-grandchildren, 2 step great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers-in-law; Ralph (Alice) Dickmann and Albert (the late Judy) Dickmann, Jr., sisters-in-law; Delores Shields and Caroline (Gordon) Butt, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, twin brother, sisters; Antoinette Dickmann and Adeline Schmidt, brother-in-law; Aubrey Dickmann and sister-in-law; Rosie (the late Bob) Hartmann.
