Edward J. Hermann

Edward J. Hermann of Cedarburg, 54 died at Columbia-St. Marys Ozaukee Campus on Thursday January 29, 2004. He was born in Milwaukee on September 22, 1949 to the late Melvin & Alice nee Lentz Hermann and married Bonnie nee Klug at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Cedarburg on October 11, 1975. Ed was a lieutenant with the Ozaukee Co. Sheriffs Dept, worked on the S.W.A.T. Team and has worked for the department since 1974. He was also a member of the Cedarburg Fire Dept. from 1973 - 1989 serving as deputy chief, training instructor and also on the dive rescue team. He worked for MATC as a fire instructor, was a member of Ozaukee Corvette Club, was former member of the Better Bikers Assoc. of WI, achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor Order of the Arrow with Cedarburg Boy Scout Troop 3. Ed is survived by his wife Bonnie of Cedarburg, children; Heidi Andy Sargent of Thiensville, Marshall of Port Washington, & Tracy of Cedarburg, 1 brother Michael of West Bend, 1 sister Kathleen James MacDonald of East Troy, & step-father Walter Erbe of Milwaukee. He is further survived by his beloved beagle Casey, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held on Tues. Feb. 3, 7:30 PM at St. Francis Borgia North Catholic Church 1375 Covered Bridge Rd. Cedarburg. Visitation will be at the church on Tues. from 4:30 PM until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials to the American Heart Assoc. or the American Diabetes Foundation appreciated. Mueller Funeral Home of Cedarburg assisted the family with arrangements.
