Dudley N. Neman of Mequon, WI passed away on March 11, 2015 at the age of 85 years. He was born on May 11, 1929 to Norman D. and Mildred (nee Schultz) Neman. Dudley was married to the love of his life Edith (nee Happel) for 40 years. He was a proud and beloved step father to Gerhard (Pam) Wetzel III. He is further survived by his special godchild Jim (Amy) Welzien, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dudley served his country in the U.S. Army from October 1946 to April 1948. He was also in the National Guard. He was a Lutheran pastor for 4 years, and a high school teacher for over 27 years. Dudley went to St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN in 1954, Northwestern Lutheran Seminary in 1957 and graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Platteville with a Masters Degree in 1970. Dudley taught at schools in Lafarge, Fennimore, and Bloomington, WI. He was a member of the Legion Post 0457 of Mequon-Thiensville. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 – 11 AM at First Immanuel Lutheran Church – W67N622 Evergreen Blvd. Cedarburg, WI. Interment will be in Zur Ruhe Cemetery – Cedarburg, WI. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 10 AM – 10:45 AM. Memorials to first Immanuel Lutheran Church are appreciated. Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory of Cedarburg, WI is assisting the family.
