Doyle A. Brugman peacefully passed away on August 1, 2022 at Heritage Nursing Home, in Port Washington, at the age of 95. Doyle was born on June 12, 1927 in Kadoka, South Dakota to his late parents, David Brugman and Eva (nee Shroll) Brugman. He was then united in marriage with his true love, Carol (nee Williams) Brugman for 71 years. After moving from South Dakota to Milwaukee, He met Carol at a drugstore and that’s when they both knew, they would be together forever. Doyle and Carol were blessed with 4 children, Bill, Barbara (Scott) Arcuri, Lori (Rick) Geis, and the late Mary Klunk. Doyle was a devoted WWII Army Veteran where he spent his time in Germany after the war in 1946. Because of Doyle’s passion to help others, he became an Army Medic at the age of 18. He then became a proud member of the American Legion Bell Telephone Post 0427 for 69 years. Doyle had a wide variety of hobbies and interests. Aside from enjoying gambling, he enjoyed gardening, playing any card game he could, getting his family together to play bags, and he absolutely loved watching college basketball. Doyle was one of the Green Bay Packers biggest fans and he never missed watching a game. Doyle is survived by 3 children, Bill, Barbara, and Lori; Grandchildren, Scott Rome, Angela Rome, Clifford Brugman, Nick Brugman, Christian Brugman, Daniel Meiser, David Meiser, Sara Williams, Kali Restivo, Marcy Theisen, and Aubree Geis. He is further survived by 18 great-grandchildren and many more family and friends. Doyle is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol; his daughter, Mary Klunk; and his grandson, Rick Rome. He is further preceded in death by his siblings, Joyce (Roy) Guelich, Hershal (Shirly) Brugman, and Janice (Stan) Smith. There will be a private committal service held for Doyle at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Menomonee Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Legion Bell Telephone Post 0427, 9428 W.
