Donald H. Sorweid

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 1:00pm at the Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg W63N527 Hanover Avenue for Donald H. Sorweid Boobe who died peacefully at Lasata Care Center on Wednesday October 28, 2009 at the age of 74 years. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11:00am until the time of services on Wednesday. Interment to follow at Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg. Don was born to Harry and Verna Sorweid on June 6, 1935. Don grew up in Cedarburg and lived in many homes in the area. His parents opened a grocery store on Washington Avenue in which he worked part-time. He quit school after 8th grade to work as a punch press operator in a machine shop. He worked at Doerr Electric Corporation for 35 years. Don was a fisherman and traveled with family and friends on fishing trips to Canada. He also enjoyed bowling, hunting, playing cards, gardening, eating sweets and listening to Polka music on his favorite Hartford music station.
