Buerosse, Donald E. Of Cudahy, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the age of 94 years. Donald was born in Cudahy and later moved to Delaware. After serving in the Pacific in World War II for five years he returned to Cudahy and attended Marquette University. He worked for a private utility contractor in Cudahy until his retirement in 1984. Donald enjoyed trapshooting and hunting, and spent many happy hours in his basement and garage workshop. One of the highlights of his later years was his Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. He was the best of the “Greatest Generation”, a kind, strong and good man and an optimist to the end, who was always ready to answer any request for help. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. Donald is survived by his children Debra (Dr. John) Krueger and Karen (Robert) Hixon; grandchildren: Christopher (Rebecca) Krueger and Michael Cipressi; great grandchild Henry Krueger. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Donald was preceded in death by his wife Jeanette A. (nee Spies). Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25 – 10:00 AM at Cudahy United Methodist Church 5865 S. Lake Dr. Cudahy. Family will receive friends at the church on Sat. from 9AM until time of service. Inurnment will be at Arlington Park Cemetery. Memorials to Stars and Stripes Honor Flight.
