Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, November 18, 2016 at 11:00am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1619 Washington Street, Grafton for Donald E. Nimtz of Cedarburg who was Born to Eternal Life Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the age of 87 years. Fr. Mike Barrett will be officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:00am to 10:45am. Private burial will be held at Immanuel Cemetery. Memorials to the American Cancer Society appreciated. Donald was born on October 18, 1929 in Manitowoc, WI to the late Anthony and Loretta(nee Lennie) Nimtz. He graduated from Marquette University with a Bachelors Degree. He was an electrical engineer and was employed at Modern Electric in Port Washington for over 20 years. Donald also served his country during the Korean Conflict in the United States Army. He was united in marriage to Rosemary (nee McCarty) and they were blessed with 3 children. Rosemary was a teacher at Webster Transitional School for the 6th and 7th graders in English and Math. She preceded him in death in 1994 after 43 years of marriage. In 1996 Donald met Lillian Lucy Grimmett and they were united in marriage. His hobbies were fishing and traveling. There were many times you could see Donald fishing in Cedarburg on the Cedar Creek. Donald is survived by his beloved wife, Lillian his children; Kit (Steve) Cairns, Eileen Nejedlo and Jim (Dawn) Nimtz and grandchildren; Kurt Nejedlo, Bridget Nejedlo, Nick Nimtz and Jenny Nimtz. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
