Dolores “Lorrie” Fischer was born and lived her whole life in the Landmark Fischer home on Washington Avenue in Cedarburg. After graduation from Cedarburg High she went on to graduate from Marquette University as a dental hygienist. She worked in her chosen profession until her retirement in 1999. Lorrie was active in Cedarburg Civic Life as a volunteer at the Visitors Bureau and the Pioneer Village over the years. She enjoyed playing tennis, swimming, gardening, and especially picking currants for jelly. In November 2003 she received a plaque from Mayor Gregory P. Myers for her 15 years of dedication to the Design Review Board-8 years as secretary. Dear daughter of the late Frank and Irma Fischer. Loving sister of Anthony “Tony” Fischer. Preceded in death by her brother, the former mayor of Cedarburg, E. Stephan, Emil, Frank, Anna Rusch and Irma Coulas. Lovingly cared for by Mary Ann Rusch, “Sister Jeanne, SSND” and caretakers, Ankica, Christine and Monique. Survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 3, 2015 at St. Francis Borgia South Catholic Church, W44 N6055 Hamilton Road, Cedarburg at 11:00am. Burial to follow at St. Francis Borgia Cemetery. In state at church on Saturday from 10:00am to 10:45am. Memorials to St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church appreciated.
