Diane Whiteside, 70 A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 15th for Diane Whiteside (Queen Buttercup) at Mueller Funeral Home, W63N527 Hanover Ave, Cedarburg who went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 8th. Visitation will start at 11 a.m., service will be held at 1 p.m., burial will be at 2:15 p.m. at Immanuel Cemetery, Cedarburg. Diane was born January 25, 1947 in Port Washington, Wisconsin, the daughter of Paul and Elenora Hafemann. She married Donald Richard Whiteside, Sr. of Brown Deer on August 14, 1965 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cedarburg, Wisconsin. Diane was actively involved with her church, Freedom Fellowship, Jackson coordinating the annual Tea Party and many other activities. She volunteered with many projects including Special Olympics, Possibility Play Ground and Gi Gi’s Play House Milwaukee. She was “Queen” of a Red Hatters Chapter. Diane’s passion was to spread the word of God in doing that she published her first book, Rhymes of Reason. She was a devoted loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grand-mother, great-grand mother, sister, friend to all. She loved poetry, cooking, arts and crafts, gardening, Garth Brooks and enjoyed time with family, three grand dogs and friends. Diane is survived by her loving husband Donald R. Whiteside, Sr., her children Susan(Rob), Hollyann, Donald, Jr. (Jennifer), and 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, loving sisters Cynthia and Sylvia and younger brother Dale. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to Gi Gi’s Play House, Milwaukee.
