Dennis R. Kison

Dennis R. Kison, “Goat” of Jackson, WI went to his heavenly home on July 3, 2014 at the age of 64. Denny was born on March 14, 1950 in Port Washington, WI the son of Lorain (nee Steffen) and the late Herbert O. Kison. Denny was united in marriage on April 20, 1996 at Grace Lutheran Church in Grafton to Kathleen A. (Nee Blank). Denny was a member of the Sons of American Legion, Cedarburg Post; and a passive member of the Cedarburg Fire Department. He was actively involved in the Fire Department's Maxwell Street days (he loved to cook those brats). Also a member of both the Monticello Sno-Mobile Club, and the Antique Tractor Club. He so loved his family, his "buddies", friends and of course truck driving. He always had a story to tell at the end of the day. He worked at Pioneer Container, which led to his lifetime work of truck driving. After 32 years there, he moved on to work at Liesener Soils as a truck driver also, until the day of his passing. He lived his life fully and loved what he did. Everyone he knew, knew he was one lucky "Goat". The family would like to extend their gratitude to the first responders...Jackson Police Department, Jackson & West Bend EMT’S, who were all amazing. Also, thank you to the expert team of Doctors and staff of Froedert Hospital, who were there to care for Denny around the clock. Their compassion, comfort and care for Denny assured me they were doing everything in their power to help him survive. All these people are God's workers on earth and will never be forgotten for giving us a few more days with Denny. That was a gift. Denny is survived by his loving wife of 18 years Kathy; children: Troy Kison, Trevor (Christy) Kison, Lisa Chaudier and Brian Jaeger; Proud grandpa of Trevor and Ashton Kison; Alex and Zach Chaudier; mother Lorain Kison; brothers: Rod Kison, Chuck (Donna) Kison, Randy (Patty) Kison, Jim (Lisa Marie) Kison, Keith (Cathy) Kison; sister-in-law Shirley (Mike) Hetchler; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Denny was preceded in death by his father Herbert, (infant) brother Kenneth, brother Terry, nephew Kevin, sister-in-laws Char Kison and Lisa Kison. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 7, 2014 at David’s Star Ev. Lutheran Church in Jackson, WI. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 3:00 PM – 6:45 PM. Interment will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to David’s Star Ev. Lutheran Church appreciated.
