Debra S. Guttmann, of Cascade, passed away on August 28, 2012, at the St. Luke’s Medical Center, in Milwaukee, at the age of 54 years. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2012, at 2PM at Our Savior Lutheran Church (1332 Arrowhead Rd.), Grafton. The family will receive friends, on Saturday, at the church from 11AM -1:45PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice are appreciated. Deb was born in Port Washington, on November 27, 1957, the daughter of the late James McFarland and Mildred (nee Hartwig) McFarland-Ulik. She graduated from West Bend East High School and later married Jim Guttmann on August 28, 1976, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, in Newburg. Their marriage was blessed with four children. Throughout life, Deb was always known for her loving and caring ways. As a unit leader and consultant for Party Lite Candles, she touched many people with her positive attitude and unique ability to make everyone feel special. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, talking with her numerous family and friends on the telephone, cooking, gardening, but her true love was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Deb is survived by her husband, Jim Guttmann Sr,; children, Jim (Kate Westerman)Guttmann Jr., Joe (Angie) Guttmann, Jon (Sarah) Guttmann, and Jill (Mike Bublitz) Guttmann; grandchildren, Ally, Cole, Marshall, and Gracie Guttmann; mother, Mildred Ulik; siblings, Dennis (Diane) McFarland, David (Lynn) McFarland, Judith (Ray Mueller) McFarland, and Pam (Paul) Czerwinski; brothers-in-law, Tom (Linda) Guttmann and John (Annette) Guttmann; sisters-in-law, Pat (Jim) Bergschultz and Jean (Bruce) Hempleman, and her canine friend, Wyatt. She is further survived by step-sisters, step-brothers, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Deb was preceded in death by her father, James McFarland, step-father, Don Ulik Sr., mother-in-law, Elsie Guttmann, father-in-law, Andy Guttmann, close friend, Lois Herman, and pets, Jake and Bear.
