Dean V. Roebken

Dean V. Roebken of Cedarburg passed away peacefully at Lasata Care Center in Cedarburg on Tuesday December 28, 2010 at the age of 88 years. Dean was born in Cedarburg to the late William H. & Anna (nee Dahler) Roebken on April 21, 1922 and married Hertha (nee Pipkorn) on September 7, 1946 at First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg. Dean worked with his father and brothers at Badger Worsted Mill in Grafton for many years. He was a member of the Cedarburg Fire Department and the Peter Wollner American Legion Post # 288 in Cedarburg for over 60 years. He was long time active member of Advent Lutheran Church prior to moving to First Immanuel Lutheran Church. He also was the Justice of Peace and member of the Cedarburg City Council for many years. He is survived by his wife Hertha of Cedarburg, children; Kathi Laughlin of Colorado Springs, CO and Dean W. (Rosemary) Roebken of Cedarburg, grandchildren; Patrick Malone of CA, Bridget (Steven) Malone Weatherby of CO, and Rex Roebken of Cedarburg, great grandson Jack Weatherby of CO. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers Bill, Howard, and Stanley. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held on Wed. January 5, 2011, 1:30 PM at First Immanuel Lutheran Church W67 N622 Evergreen Blvd. Cedarburg. Family will receive friends at the church Wed. from 12 Noon until time of service. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy we suggest memorials to the Cedarburg Fire Department, Peter Wollner American Legion Post # 288 or Lasata Care Center. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Lasata Care Center who gave Dean such wonderful care .
