David C. Dombrowski passed away on April 30, 2024, at the age of 46. He was born on July 28, 1977, in Rockford, IL to Robert and Chrystal Dombrowski. He was united in marriage in Chicago, IL on June 22, 2007, with Leslie (nee Dumler) Dombrowski. Together their marriage was blessed with two children, Alyssa and Reese.
After graduating from Cedarburg High School in 1995, David attended University of Wisconsin – Stout, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering in 1999. He spent the last 25 years pursuing a successful career as a Packaging Product Design Engineer. David was a loving husband and devoted father to his family. He had such an outgoing, humorous, and free-spirited personality that offered great comfort and joy to all who knew and spent time with him. He found great interest in staying connected with people and their lives, spending time with his family and attending his daughters’ school and sports events. David’s spontaneity and creativity in planning of social activities made for continuous creation of fond memories with family and friends. He always portrayed generosity towards others offering his handyman skills when needed. David’s compassion and love for animals was unique and he showed a great connection with all animals giving him the nickname, the pet whisperer. He will be missed by so many who considered him a friend and confidant.
David is survived by his wife, Leslie (nee Dumler) Dombrowski and his two daughters, Alyssa and Reese Dombrowski; his parents Robert and Chrystal Dombrowski; his brother Michael Dombrowski and his sister Beth (nee Dombrowski) Hjelle. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held for David at a later date.
