A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 31, 2013, 6:30PM at St. John’s Lutheran Church (217 N. Freeman Dr.), in Port Washington, for Danny John Fullington I, of Fredonia. Visitation will be held, on Friday, at the church, from 4PM – 6:15PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Danny Fullington I. Foundation, c/o BMO Harris 524 E. Green Bay Ave. Saukville, WI 53080 to support the Grafton Gladiator Football Program. Danny was born on January 29, 1937, in West Allis, Wisconsin, the son of the late Raymond Balford Fullington and the late Marie Margaret (nee Mlakar) Fullington. He graduated from Nathan Hale High School in 1955, and later served his country in the United States Navy from 1956 until 1960. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, Danny married his sweetheart, Annette Bryan, on August 21, 1960, in Milton, Florida. Their marriage was blessed with four sons. Danny worked for the United States Postal Service from 1961 to 1992, and was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. Danny served as Post Master of Grafton for many years, and was responsible for the planning and construction of the current Grafton Post Office building. Danny was a co-founder of the Grafton Gladiators which grew into the current All American Youth Football League of South-eastern Wisconsin. Over his lifetime, Danny coached for many track and football teams, as was also a lifetime member of Lion’s Club International. He also volunteered as a full time 6th to 8th grade teacher at St. John’s Lutheran Academy, in Port Washington, as well as driving bus for the Johnson Bus Company. Danny is the beloved husband of 52 years to Annette (nee Bryan) Fullington, devoted father of Danny Fullington II, William Fullington, Timothy Fullington, and Michael (Cheryl) Fullington; a proud and cherished grandfather of Nolan, Nina, Hayden, Brianna, Nicholas, Alexandra, Taylor and Christian; and dear brother of Rita (Gerald) Martin and Raymond (Linda) Fullington. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Danny was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Gloria Boesel and brother, Richard Fullington. The family would especially like to thank the Ivan Garcia Family, Dr. Thomas Zukowski and loving staff at the Aurora Cancer Center, in Grafton, as well as Dr. Ehab Atallah, Kathy, and Chelsae, at Froedtert Hospital’s 4NT. Danny John Fullington I, Entered into Eternal Life on May 22, 2013, at the age of 76 years.
