Daniel G. “Dan” Benicke of Cedarburg, passed away on October 17, 2015, at the age of 63 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Mary Lou (nee Wolf). Loving father of Rob (Robin) and Danielle (Luke Thurloff) Benicke. Proud grandpa of Riley and Rhegan Benicke, and Emma Thurloff. Dear brother of Werner (Carrol) Benicke, Allen (Claudia) Benicke, and Karen (James) Moder. Further survived by his golf cart buddy, Roxy, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral Service Friday, October 23, 2015, 6PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church (W61 N498 Washington Ave.), Cedarburg. Interment Immanuel Cemetery. In state Friday, at the church, 3PM until 5:45PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials of your choice are appreciated. Dan was a lifetime resident of the Town of Cedarburg. Growing up he worked on the family farm on Highway 60. He graduated from Cedarburg High School in 1971. On August 27, 1977 he was united in marriage to his loving wife Mary. He proudly worked for the Town of Cedarburg for 38 years, retiring in January of 2015. His greatest accomplishment in life was his family. He enjoyed spending time at the trailer in Montello on Lake Puckaway. He was an avid outdoorsman and spent many fun times with his family fishing and hunting. He was a person who could fix anything and he loved gardening as well as woodworking. He was a huge Green Bay Packer and Nascar fan. “ With each passing day, as we do the things you loved to do, you will always be with us.”
