Cynthia L. “Cindy” Solymossy
Cynthia L. “Cindy” Solymossy, of Grafton, passed away peacefully, on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at the Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin, in Wauwatosa, at the age of 69 years.
Cindy was born on April 12, 1955, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Mary Jane (Rollinger) Kopplin and the late Henry Kopplin. She was one of four children including her siblings, Sandra, Randall, and Andrew.
Cindy was united in marriage to Steve Solymossy on September 13th, 1980, and they were blessed with two sons, Matthew and Michael, along with a wonderful Daughter in law, Jenny, and the most beautiful Granddaughter Elliott. Together they raised their family in Grafton and became pillars in the Grafton community. Cindy was a hairdresser by trade and a devoted wife and mother, who poured her heart into others. Cindy was the life of any gathering or party, and all who met her felt instantly welcomed by her. To know Cindy was to have a friend. She loved golfing, her dachshunds (Levi and Lucy), her coffee dates with friends and spending time with all that she held dear. She was immensely proud of her boys and was thrilled to be a Nana.
No matter how she felt or what was happening in her life, she never lost her smile or laugh. She will be truly remembered as one of the “good ones”.
Cindy leaves behind her loving husband Steve of 43 years, her sons Matthew and Michael (Jenny) Solymossy, and granddaughter Elliott Solymossy. She is further survived by her mother, Mary Jane Kopplin, siblings, Randall (Kathy) Kopplin and Andrew (Sue) Kopplin, as well as her brother-in-law Bruce Andree and nieces, nephews and many other relatives and dear close friends. Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Henry Kopplin and sister, Sandra Andree.
A Memorial Gathering celebrating Cindy’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at the Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory (979 N. Green Bay Rd.), Grafton, from 1:30 PM until 3:30 PM followed by a time of reflection. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project, Tunnel to Tower Foundation or to the Ozaukee County Humane Society are appreciated.
