Clara V. Bucholz-Bertler

Clara V. Bucholz – Bertler, (Nee Paquette), died peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at age 89. She married Earl Bucholz on October 23, 1948, having 4 children: Chris (Pam), Charles (Kathy) Leonard (Stephanie) and Ann (Phillip) Fortino; who with her grandchildren: Matthew, Adam, Lindsay, Corey, Brandon, Robert and Kevin will miss and remember her. Following Earl’s death she married Richard Bertler and was embraced and loved by his children and his children’s children whom she loved in return. Clara was born in Woodruff in 1923 to Charles and Mary (Nee Steinberger) Paquette. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Dennis and sisters Alvina and Margaret. Her sister Mary Joy of whom she loved dearly still resides in Woodruff. As a child she was known to curl up next to the wood cook stove in winter, frequent the swimmin’ hole in summer and play the triangle in the Woodruff Grade School Rhythm Band. As an adult she was our mother providing the love and consistency that made us a family. Special thank you to the caregivers and staff on Lasata’s 2nd Floor West. You were wonderful. A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, February 14, 6:00 PM at St. Francis Borgia North Catholic Church 1375 Covered Bridge Rd. Cedarburg.
