Cheryl J. Steinberg, a cherished homemaker, beloved wife, and devoted mother, peacefully departed this world on January 25, 2025, at Aurora Hospital in Grafton, WI. Born on March 3, 1945, in Antigo, WI, Cheryl graced the lives of everyone she encountered with her kindness, caring nature, and the warm embrace of her loving heart.
Cheryl epitomized the spirit of love and family. She was the proud bearer of the maiden name Adkins, which will always echo in the fond memories held dear by her family. Her life was filled with moments of joy as a dedicated mother to her children—David Steinberg, Robert Steinberg (Erwin Ignacio), Gina (Robert) Michaels, and Michele Steinberg—as well as a loving wife to Kenneth W. Steinberg. Cheryl's legacy extends to the many grandchildren and great-grandchildren she adored, providing her with immense pride and fulfillment throughout her life.
Cheryl's personality was as vibrant as the activities she enjoyed. A woman of quick wit and sass, she filled her home with laughter and love. Whether she was crafting, indulging in her passions for bowling or Bingo, or even engaging in a little gambling, Cheryl's vivacious spirit was infectious, drawing those around her to share in her joy. She was always ready to lend a supportive hand, and her family and friends knew that she would be there for them through thick and thin.
Among her remarkable accomplishments, Cheryl took immense pride in earning her GED, an achievement that spoke to her enduring commitment to personal growth and education. Yet, the greatest joys in her life were undoubtedly her family and the countless memories they created together, helping to shape her into the matriarch they all adored.
Cheryl will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Kenneth, her sons, her daughters, her sister Una Eberfeld, as well as her ten grandchildren and GiGi to her eight great-grandchildren. They find comfort in the memories of her funny and caring ways, forever cherishing her spirit.
As we gather to celebrate the beautiful life of Cheryl J. Steinberg, we invite friends and family to join us for visitation on February 1, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM, followed by her funeral service at 2:00 PM at Holy Cross Cemetery, West Chapel, located at 7301 W. Nash St., Milwaukee, WI, 53216.
Cheryl leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience that will continue to inspire those who were lucky enough to know her. The world shines a little less brightly without her, but her memory will forever remain in our hearts.
