Charlotte M. Bigelow, 87

Charlotte M (nee Sutton) Biglow found external peace on May 7, 2024.

Charlotte was born in Milwaukee, 1936, to Robert W & Alice B (nee Millard) Sutton.

She graduated from Westfield High in 1954. She married Edwin B Bigelow, Jr., of Grafton, in 1959. They were married 45 years until his passing in 2004.

Charlotte and Edwin loved to travel in the early years of their marriage. The golden age of travel, with Northwest Airlines, saw them enjoy multiple trips to Hawaii, Japan, and other locales.

Once Charlotte and Edwin settled back in the Cedarburg-Grafton area, she became the loving mother and homemaker everyone knew and loved. No store-bought birthday cakes. Frosted, decorated cookies for any occasion. Homemade candy for the holidays.

Charlotte was also involved in local Cub Scouting. Before stepping away, she was able to celebrate 30 years in Scouting.

Charlotte is survived by her son, Jason, and daughter, Jessica. Further survived by her brother-in-law, Douglas Gordon, cousins and many nieces and nephews.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brothers: Francis, John “Jack”, Lawrence and Clarence; her sisters: Dorothy, Alice, Phyllis and Virginia “Ginger”.

A private family memorial will take place at Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials, in Charlotte’s name, to the American Cancer Society.
