Charles Alfred Young

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 10, 2010, at 5:30 PM at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Grafton, for Charles Alfred Young, of Grafton, age 83 years, who passed away peacefully on September 5, 2010, after a brief illness. Visitation is at the Church from 3:30 PM until the time of Mass. Father Mike Barrett officiating. Memorials of your choice appreciated. Charles was born on October 9, 1926, in Boscobel, the son of Alfred and Lucy (nee Green) Young. After serving his country in the Navy during World War II, Charles finished cosmetology school and opened his own salon in Kohler, then Milwaukee, finally opening a shop in Grafton. His other careers included being a railroad fireman and assisting in the production of lawn equipment for Tecumseh Products. Charles loved dancing, refinishing furniture, grilling and landscaping his country home. He was also an avid sports fan. Charles is survived by his beloved wife Mary Young (nee Kuenster) of Grafton; children Kerry L. Young of Saukville, Tara Y. Miller of Grafton and Shane C. Young of Saukville; and granddaughters Alexandria and Mackenzie Young. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. Charles was preceded in death by daughter, Kalee Young.
