Cathryn A Burdge

Cathryn Ann Burdge passed away unexpectedly in her home on Tuesday, October 16, 2018. She had just celebrated her 38th birthday a week earlier. An open memorial will be held to celebrate her life with family and friends at her parent's home on Sunday, October 21, 2018. The family will hold a private viewing with burial at Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg, Wisconsin on Monday, October 22, 2018. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to support an education fund for her son Lucas Burdge via Go-Fund-Me (https://www.gofundme.com/cathryn-burdge-memorial-for-lucas) or in support of the SUDEP Institute who's mission is to eradicate sudden unexpected death of a person with epilepsy and support those affected by it (https://donate.epilepsy.com/SUDEP). Cathryn, known as "Kitty" by her most precious friends, was born in Elberton, Georgia on October 8, 1980 to Robert and JoAnn Burdge. As a child she loved spending time playing with her siblings and attending to the many household pets, particularly the cats. She obtained her massage therapists license from Lakeside School of Massage Therapy in 2005. She went on to dedicate her massage career to improving the health and life of others. Those that know her best saw her as a tenacious, rebellious, independent, strong, honest, spiritual woman and a deeply dedicated mother. In Lucas' own words "The best mom I ever had". Lucas always came first and she would fight fiercely for his well being. She will always be lovingly remembered as the family's "Crazy Cat Lady" and winner of the Burdge burping contest championship. Cathryn is survived by her son Lucas, parents Bob & Jodi, her siblings Devin (Tina), Meredith (Justin), Ryan and Samantha (Bradley), and 10 nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
