Catherine Kemp

Catherine Kemp (nee Orlikowski) of Mequon passed away peacefully at Vitas Innovative Hospice in Milwaukee on December 26, 2007 at the age of 90 years. Catherine was born in West Allis, WI on February 27, 1917 to the late Walter and Catherine (nee Novakuska) Orlikowski. She eventually married the late Harvey at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church South in Cedarburg and celebrated over 65 years of wedded bliss with him. Catherine was a long time active member of St. Francis. Catherine was a great mom, good homemaker and cook. She especially liked hatching poultry, feeding baby calves, gardening, and always liked to go for breakfast. With the magic of a mom, Catherine always made things come to life for her family and her children. She is survived by her sons, Gene (Judy) of Athens, WI and Michael (Brenda) of Mequon; grandchildren: Tom of Oak Creek, Jim of Athens, Steve of Cedar Grove, Mary of Athens, and Dan and David of Mequon; great grandchildren: Alexis of Cedar Grove, and Katelyn, Hailey and Grace of Oak Creek; and sister Anna (the late Jess) Smith. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. Catherine was preceded in death by one son Donnie. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wed. Jan. 2, 1PM at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church South in Cedarburg. Visitation was held at the church on Wednesday from 11AM until time of service. Interment was at St. Francis Cemetery in Mequon.
