Carole A. Griffiths

Carole Ann (Treleven) Griffiths, 74, of Grafton WI, passed away in her home on September 7, 2015 following a courageous battle with ALS. She was born in Beaver Dam WI to Erwin and Edna (Smith) Treleven. She graduated from Beaver Dam High School and UW-Whitewater, with a degree in Mathematics and Teaching. It was at Whitewater that she met her husband Dave. Over the years, she taught math at Grafton High School and MATC, and shared her love of music by playing the organ and piano, singing in choir, and writing music at various area churches. Her passions included travel, photography, music, sewing, gardening, baseball and family, especially her grandsons. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedarburg WI. Carole is survived by her husband of 53 years Dave; daughter Lynn (Kyle) Anderson of Castle Pines, CO; son and primary caregiver David of Grafton; grandsons Nick and Sammy Anderson of Castle Pines, CO; sister Barbara Isgren of Naperville, IL; brother Robert (Mary) Treleven of Oneida, WI; as well as many family members and close friends who will all miss her dearly. A celebration of Carole’s life will be held on Sunday September 20 at Mueller Funeral Home, 979 N. Green Bay Road in Grafton. Visitation will be from 12-2pm, with a memorial service following at 2pm. Memorial contributions can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedarburg, or to the ALS Association. Many heartfelt thanks to all of Carole's caregivers over the years, and special thanks to all of the family and friends for the visits, cards, flowers, gifts and loving support during her illness.
