Carol Jean Laine was born in Milwaukee, WI on September 17, 1931 to Rudolph and Mable (nee Does) Tank and was born to eternal life on 8/10/10, at the age of 78. She was baptized in Milwaukee in 1931, and confirmed at Augustana Lutheran Church, Milwaukee, in 1946. Carol graduated from Rufus King High School in Milwaukee in 1949. On December 15, 1951 she married the late Donald Laine, Sr. They enjoyed 55 years of marriage and raised four wonderful children. Carol was a Christian and faithful member of Advent Lutheran Church for many years. She was the guidance office secretary at Cedarburg High School for 26 years. She also volunteered her time at St. Marys Hospital, Ozaukee, and Thorson Elementary School. Don and Carol retired in 1992. They had a fun-filled retirement, traveling, enjoying hobbies, but most of all their time spent with their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Carol was a devout Wisconsin Badger fan and loved celebrating the holidays with her family. Beloved wife of the late Donald Laine, Sr. Carol is survived by, four children: Don Jr. (Bobbi), Dyan (Stu) Hannam, Sandy (Ken) Beckwith, and Dan (Joan); by her grandchildren, Kristi (Romee) Johnson, Don III (Kelly), Jon (Allison) Hannam, Michelle Hannam, Danielle, Kayla, and Kyle Beckwith and Ryan and Brittany Laine, great grandchildren, Corey and Alec Johnson; brothers Ken (Marcia) Tank and Ron (Anine) Tank, sister in-law Viola (David) Halkola and the late Raymond (Linda) and Archie (Helen) Laine, also many other relatives and dear friends. The family will greet friends at the church on Sat. Augutst 14th beginning at 10:30am until the time of the service. A memorial service will be held at 12 Noon at Advent Lutheran Church, Cedarburg, Rev. Dr. Janis Kinens officiating. A private family inunrment will be held at Zur Ruhe Cemetery, Cedarburg. Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Advent Lutheran Church in Cedarburg or Kathy Hospice in West Bend. Carols family wishes to thank the Rev. Dr. Janis Kinens, Dr. Zukowski, Alliance Oncology Center, Dr. Hoogerland, the staff of Kathy Hospice and Heartland Home Care for their guidance and loving care during Carols illness. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Advent Lutheran Church in Cedarburg or Kathy Hospice in West Bend.
