Carol Ann Walber, age 70, of Grafton, WI, formerly Wauwatosa, WI, peacefully passed away on September 6, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Carol was a corporate travel agent for over 45 years. She worked for American Express, Carlson Wagonlit Travel and several smaller agencies. She also worked part time for 20 years as a retail sales associate for several women’s clothing stores. She loved to travel, read, and work on home projects along with her garden. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Carol is survived by her sister, Mary Jane (Gale) Harter; brothers, Stephen (Kandy), David (Verissa), and Tim (Susan); and her aunt Evelyn Walber. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Jerome and Dorothy Walber, her infant brother, Phillip, and her aunts and uncles.
A visitation for Carol will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church (1619 Washington St. Grafton, WI) from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM. Immediately following will be a mass at 2:00 PM with Father Nick Baumgardner officiating. A private family burial will take place at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Dacada, WI.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated. The family will forward all donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Aurora Cancer Center in Grafton.
The family would like to thank Dr. John Maul and the staff at the Aurora Cancer Center. They would especially like to thank Lawlis Horizon Family Hospice and all their staff for their compassion and care.
