Bernice M. Berggren

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Francis Borgia South Catholic Church, Cedarburg on Tuesday September 7, 7:00 PM for Bernice M. Berggren, 90, of Cedarburg who died at home on September 3, 2004. Visitation was at Mueller Funeral Home on Tuesday from 3:30 - 6:30 PM. Interment was at Riverside Cemetery in Menominee, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church or Marquette University School of Nursing appreciated. Bernice was born in Menominee, MI on April 28, 1914 the daughter of the late Camille and Barbara Nee Steberl LaCoursiere. Bernice graduated from Marinette Catholic Central Formerly Our Lady of Lourdes High School in 1932. On June 25, 1936 she married the late Ervin Berggren in Menominee, MI. Bernice was a member of St. Ann Sodality in Menominee, MI; Starcraft Camper Club and a member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church for 44 years. Bernice is survived by her children: Joanne Peter Collins, Robert Natalie Berggren and Mary Leroy Ernisse; grandchildren: Kim Berggren, Rob Berggren; Michelle and Laura Landerman; and Nicole Ernisse; sister Marie Dugopolski; sister-in-law Marion Berggren; other relative and friends. The family would like to give special thanks to the Nurses and staff at Cedar Springs Rehabilitation Center, Hartland Hospice of West Bend, Homecare International and Teodora Lasaru who provided Bernice with devoted care during her last weeks at home.
