Bernhardt Schmidt

A funeral service will be held on Saturday December 20, 2003 – 1:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home 979 12th Ave. Grafton for Bernhardt C. Schmidt of Grafton who died peacefully at Columbia St. Mary’s Ozaukee Campus on December 14, 2003 at the age of 74 years. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sat. Dec. 20 form 11 AM until time of service with burial immediately following at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Grafton. Rev. John Suelflow officiating. Bernhardt was born in Mellen, WI on June 11, 1929 the son of the late Emil and Marie nee Busse Schmidt. Bernhardt retired from the 440th Air Force Base at Mitchell Field in Milwaukee where he worked as Base Civil Engineer Supervisor. He was also a member of the Grafton American Legion Post. His favorite hobbies were horseshoes and woodworking. He is survived by his children: Diane, Chuck and Stacy of Grafton, WI; Victoria Cook of Crivitz, WI; grandchildren James and Jeremy Cook of Crivitz, WI. He was preceded in death by his wife Joan nee Heim Schmidt.
