Bernadette J. 'Bonnie' Ferg (Formerly Morrissey, Nee Schweitzer)

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at 12Noon at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Grafton for Bernadette J. Bonnie Morrissey Ferg of Grafton, who died on November 20, 2009, at Lasata Care Center at the age of 94. Visitation will be at the church from 10AM until the time of service. A private interment will take place at St. Marys Parish Cemetery, Appleton. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Promising Futures appreciated. Bonnie was born on September 21, 1915, in Peoria, IL to the late William and Laura (nee Rothan) Schweitzer. She married Joseph Paul Morrissey on November 11, 1937. After his death in 1960, Bonnie married Lawrence Ferg on February 6, 1975 in Appleton WI. Bonnie received her RN degree from St Frances School of Nursing in 1937. She worked as an industrial nurse at the Neenah Foundry for 14 years. Bonnie moved to Grafton in 1976 and had lived there until she moved to Cedarburg to live out her remaining years at Lasata Care Center. Bonnie is survived by her children: Laurel Schweitzer, William (Mary) Morrissey, Kay Morrissey, Carol (Richard) Kaphingst, Martha Morrissey, Paula (Uli) Lerch and Patricia Haney; grandchildren Stacy, Lisa, Jennie, Laurel, Melissa, Chris, Patti, Joe, William, Ryan, Caroline, Martha, Steve, Dave, Mark, Todd, Tiffany, Anthony, Courtney, Chad, Shawn and Chris; 34 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by both of her husbands and her sisters Lavern (Robert) Bartholomew and Marion (Stewart) Becker. Special thanks to Lasata Care Center and Heartland Hospice Care.
